Price Tower Arts Center: Cleaning and repairing the 66 sculpture

Join us for a meaningful Day of Caring as we work together to restore the iconic Robert Indiana "66" Sculpture in Unity Square. This beloved interactive piece is a community favorite and is in need of some tender loving care. Your efforts will help ensure it remains a vibrant part of our public space for years to come.

Volunteer Tasks:
Cleaning: Volunteers will assist in thoroughly cleaning the sculpture to remove dirt and grime accumulated over the year. This involves working on a ladder to reach the higher portions and tops of the sculpture.
Waxing: Volunteers will be taught how to wax the sculpture, preserving its beauty and protecting it from the elements.
Repairs: While most repairs will be handled by Price Tower staff, your support in the initial cleaning and waxing phases is crucial.

Volunteer Requirements:
We need 5-10 volunteers who are comfortable working on ladders.
Enthusiasm for art and community service is a plus!
Project Schedule:

Dates: September 9th through October 5th.
Sessions: This project can be split into two sessions for your convenience:
Cleaning Session: 3 hours
Waxing Session: 3 hours

Number of Hours: 6

Suggested team size: 5-10 people

Tools/Equipment that will be used during this project: This projects will be using buffing tools (similar to car waxing), and ladders. Everything else is a wash cloth, soap, water, wax, and sponges.
